Le changement climatique a des cons\u00e9quences importantes sur les cha\u00eenes de montagne de l’Himalaya et du Karakoram ce qui entra\u00eene des effets non n\u00e9gligeables notamment sur l’approvisionnement en eau des pays riverains. Une \u00e9quipe internationale de chercheurs dresse dans un \u00ab\u00a0review paper\u00a0\u00bb publi\u00e9 en ligne ce jeudi 10 juin par \u00ab\u00a0Science\u00a0\u00bb l’\u00e9tat actuel des connaissances glacio hydrologiques dans cette r\u00e9gion. Plus de 250 articles de recherche ont \u00e9t\u00e9 rassembl\u00e9s pour tenter de mieux comprendre les liens entre r\u00e9chauffement climatique, pr\u00e9cipitations, statut des glaciers et r\u00e9gimes hydrologiques, ainsi que le r\u00f4le des montagnes elles-m\u00eames avec leurs populations. Cette \u00e9tude aboutit \u00e0 un consensus m\u00eame si des incertitudes bien identifi\u00e9es demeurent. Elle permettra notamment d’aider \u00e0 une bonne gestion de l’eau dans la r\u00e9gion et servira \u00e9galement de base pour d’autres recherches .<\/p>\n\n\n\n
