Ces monitorings ont aussi permis de calibrer une relation quantitative entre triple composition isotopique de la silice amorphe<br \/>qui pr\u00e9cipite dans les plantes (phytolithes) et humidit\u00e9 relative atmosph\u00e9rique.<br \/>Les phytolithes fossiles, extraits de tourbes ou s\u00e9diments lacustres carott\u00e9s en Afrique intertropicale sont aujourd\u2019hui utilis\u00e9s pour reconstituer la variabilit\u00e9 pass\u00e9e de l\u2019humidit\u00e9 relative atmosph\u00e9rique, un param\u00e8tre cl\u00e9 de la dynamique des \u00e9cosyst\u00e8mes v\u00e9g\u00e9taux.<br \/>Les travaux pr\u00e9sent\u00e9s sont financ\u00e9s par l\u2019ANR et men\u00e9s en collaboration (CEREGE, HSM, LSCE, ISPA, GET en France, Western University au Canada, Univ. Abomey-Calavi au Benin, ISRA et UCAD au S\u00e9n\u00e9gal et Univ.
